The Society is a non-profit regional education center dedicated to traditional and contemporary arts and crafts. We offer Classes and Workshops at all levels, including Teen Programs. We are a Professional Development Point Provider offering PDP’s for teachers.
Our nearly 400 members come from all over New England and we welcome new members. Most members belong to one of our nine artist guilds : Basketry, Ceramics, Decorative Arts, Metalworkers, Needle Arts, Painters, Polymer Clay, Weavers and Woodworkers. Members enjoy use of guild spaces, including well-equipped Ceramics, Painters, Metal, Wood and Weaving studios, participation in Society and guild events, discounts on classes, opportunities to exhibit and sell their works.
A variety of exciting exhibits are mounted in our Parsons Gallery and our new Back Door Gallery year-round by our own guild members and invited artists. There are three major Sales Events: Annual Fair, Artisans Marketplace and Holiday Marketplace.
